Principal Laura Moorefield has spent nearly two decades working with utilities, associations, governments, and efficiency-oriented groups and research institutes. Originally from South Carolina, she is currently a member of La Plata Electric Cooperative in Durango, Colorado.
Laura's creative yet pragmatic approach helps rural utilities continue to innovate in service to their communities. She is adept at synthesizing complex and technical information to make it understandable and meaningful to a wide variety of audiences. Laura has authored and edited more than 80 reports and case studies, delivered engaging presentations at regional and national events, testified at regulatory hearings, and interviewed electric cooperative leaders across the country.
